Annual Salary (based on proposed FY22-23 budget)
- Starting Salary
- Police Cadet - $46,000
- Certified Police Officer - $56,975**
- Lateral Transfer - Up to $61,355 DOE**
- Merit Based Step Pay
- 12 Hour Patrol Shifts - Plus Paid OT
**Based on 84 hour pay period**
Incentives (in addition to above salary)
- Certificate Pay - Up to $2700/yr
- Intermediate, Advanced, Masters
- Specialty Certificate Pay - Up to $3600/yr
- CIT, Crash Investigator, Intoxilyzer Operator, TCOLE Instructor, Field Training Officer, Bi-Lingual
- Assignment Pay (receive a maximum of one assignment pay)
- Detective $4800/yr
- K9 $2400/yr
- Drone $1200/yr
- Special Tactics $1200/yr
- Shift Differential $125/mo (majority of assigned shift after 6p)
- Education Pay for Associates through Masters Degree - Up to $1800/yr

We schedule testing on an individual basis for applicants that meet the following criteria:
Applicants must be currently licensed through TCOLE as a Texas peace officer, currently attending a basic police academy, or currently a peace officer licensed in another state with at least 24 months of full-time service and eligible to challenge the TCOLE peace officer licensing exam,
