Volunteer Program

"Volunteers are seldom paid, not because they are worthless but because they are priceless." (Sherry Anderson)

The City of Kilgore's Volunteer Program is intended for individuals and groups to play a vital role in our community. A volunteer may assist in daily office duties, document scanning and filing, computer/website work, outside work in the parks, or many other areas dependent upon your qualifications.

The City of Kilgore is committed to fitting the right volunteer to the right position. We ask that prospective city volunteers fill out a volunteer information form. Volunteers must be 16 years old or older. Those younger than 16 will be considered but must have their own adult supervision.
For additional information please contact Michele Kincaid at 903 984-5081.

Animal Caretaker Individual Ongoing
Calling all animal lovers! The City of Kilgore is looking for people who are willing to help provide comfort and care for our furry friends. On occasion, we must house animals that have been abandoned, lost or are found just wandering the streets. While their stays with us are short, these animals need water, food and care while they are in our temporary shelter.  Assistance with nights and weekends is imperative as we are not a 24 hour department. If you are interested in assisting us with caring for these animals, please call us at 903-988-4120. We look forward to hearing from you!
