The City offers garbage service through a contract with Republic Waste/Allied Services.
Residential or Qualifying Commercial Units (curbside/hand load) collection service is twice a week. click here for the schedule map
All garbage is required to be in bags. If placed in a receptacle (garbage can) the tied end of the bag must be up so the collector can easily grab and remove the bag.
All containers may be placed in the right-of-ways (not in the street) the days of service to allow for the collection.
Commercial or Industrial bin collection service -- generators of more refuse than that defined as qualifying commercial unit(hand load) will be required to use the bin service. New Customers shall directly arrange for bin service with the Contractor.
Each bin shall be placed in an accessible location on a hard surface.
Bins shall not block streets, alleys, or right-of-way in any manner deemed unsafe or unsightly by the City.
The city offers recyclable material collection through Kilgore Improvement and Beautification (KIBA) once a month on the second Saturday behind the Police Station between 8am-12 noon. No glass will be accepted.
The City is pursuing curb-side collection and more information will be provided soon.

Residential Customers inside of the City Limits may use their water bill once a month for a trip to the landfill for a normally loaded pick-up.
