PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Work under this contract consists of the construction of a water pressure boosting station consisting of a 50,000-gallon welded steel tank, 5,000-galon hydropneumatic tank and high service pump building.

JUSTIFICATION

To provide safe drinking water to Kilgore citizens, water pressures should be maintained above 35 psi.  The service area north of Goforth along Hwy 135 and Fritz-Swanson is at elevations that make this target difficult to achieve.  A new pressure boosting system is necessary to adequately serve this area.
